End of Week 14

Before we present, we need to make a presentation. Not sure how we are going to do that but we need to do it soon. Not sure how I feel about the presentation though. I think it'll turn out fine. My favorite part about the Genius Project was learning something new. I think that doing a blog has helped me reflect on where I have been successful and where I have fallen short. It makes me proud when I see how far I've come from where I started.

End of Week 12

We have finished editing the videos for our genius project. We should be done with the entire project soon after we finish our presentation. We were unable to follow our plan all the way through when we realized that we weren't ready to begin teaching others to cook. We couldn't even fold a taco correctly so we ended up wrapping up the filling like a bun. We ended up calling it a turtle because it remotely resembles one.

End of Week 6

Our Genius Project got off on a rocky start. We have encountered a couple problems that caused set backs in our Genius Project. I was sick for a couple days so we were unable to do our video at the date we set. After that we had trouble finding time to work on it outside of class. We haven't gotten much done except find some recipes we would be interesting in making.

End of Week 10

A major problem I have encountered with my genius project is the inability to find time to work on it after school. I have to carefully coordinate with my group members which is never easy. In spite of this we were able to get both of our planned recipes done. Even though we improvised and both came out looking nothing like it should have, we were quite proud of ourselves. We also decided that we were no longer going to teach people how to cook because we certainly did not have the qualifications to do so. In fact half of the time I would say we had no idea what was going on.

Public Pitch

I felt like my pitch went well. I was absent during the making of the pitch so I didn't really see it beforehand but I think I did well regardless. I didn't receive a lot of suggestions suggesting me to change the idea because the idea is pretty straight forward. Not sure what is the most urgent part to work on. I was impressed by Brendan's project is was very straight forward and well thought out and it seemed substantial even though it didn't require any funding.

Proposal Stage

We decided that we would be doing cooking for our Genius Project rather early on. Not sure if cooking is really my passion, but I will be needing it in the future so it would be helpful to learn to do some cooking as fast as I can.

First Blog Post.

I am excited to be using the Genius project to be exploring new things. Which in this case will probably be something with cooking. Something that I have not done very much of in my life. I am excited to be learning something that I will probably have to use for the rest of my life.
